Mercedes S-Class Coupe Confirmed in First Spy Photos
Rumors of a Mercedes S-Class Coupe are now all but confirmed thanks to these very first spy photos of the upcoming two-door luxury machine.
The pictures reveal quite a lot about the design of the upcoming coupe, with flared rear fenders, a flat fronted grille and sculpted grille.
Expect to find similar engines to the current S-Class with a base S550 using a twin-turbo 4.6L V8 making over 400 hp, as well as S63, S600 and S65 models. There are even rumors that Mercedes will replace its S550 models with a new S400 version using a turbocharged V6.
In addition, it will come packed with a new round of safety features.
Despite it’s revealing state of camouflage, don’t expect to see this new model any time soon. The next-generation S-Class sedan won’t likely arrive until the Frankfurt Motor Show next Fall, with the coupe arriving later, perhaps at the 2014 Geneva Motor Show.
