Sneak Preview auf Audi MediaTV

Ahead of a global reveal on March 26th, Audi is teasing the first-ever A3 sedan.

The lone image of a veiled car was distributed to media outlets along with information about a live stream of the vehicle for media outlets.

While no confirmation has been provided about what the car will be, Audi has already confirmed the A3 sedan will make an appearance at the upcoming Shanghai Motor Show. The reveal time, on the eve of the New York Auto Show is also no coincidence.

Little can be gleaned about the car’s design from the image provided, though it appears to be remarkably close to the A3 Sedan Concept shown at the 2011 Geneva Motor Show.

A total of three engine choices are expected when the A3 sedan goes on sale in North America, including an entry-level 1.8-liter turbocharged 4-cylinder, as well as a more powerful turbocharged 2.0-liter. Finally, expect Audi to offer a TDI diesel option as well.
