Mercedes-Benz is showing off it’s A45 AMG at the Geneva Motor Show, and while we won’t get this vehicle in the US, we will get its powertrain in a more attractive package with the CLA 45 AMG.

The A45 uses 4Matic all-wheel drive, and manages to put out an impressive 360 hp from a tiny 2.0L turbocharged engine. This gets to the wheels through a new 7-speed dual-clutch transmission which is built to cope with the tiny car’s 332 lb-ft of torque.

All of these features are going to be in the soon-to-come CLA45 AMG, which will make its official debut at the New York Auto Show later this month. Until then all we have is the A45 AMG.

Nice car, but you've got to love the moment at 1:45 when the host is talking about an "eyes-only" showing that does not allow for video or still photography. See the guy in the background getting a shot on his smart phone?
