Nothing says hot-hatch like a Volkswagen GTI, and at the 2013 Geneva Motor Show, VW showed off the latest version of the gussied-up Golf, which has subtle style changes a new platform and more power.

Using the same MQB platform as the new Audi A3, the 2014 GTI loses 54 lbs, making it quicker and more fuel efficient. Power is up in the 2.0-liter engine to 220 hp and 258 lb-ft of torque. An optional performance package can bump up the car’s power to 230 hp. All that boost leads the GTI to a 6.5 second sprint to 62 mph.
