2015 Hyundai Genesis Coupe Previewed in HND-9 Concept With V6 Turbo
With the dramatic HND-9 concept car Hyundai is previewing the design and powertrain of the second-generation Genesis Coupe.
The “evolution of Hyundai’s fluidic sculpture design philosophy,” what’s perhaps more interesting is what’s under the hood, with Hyundai foreshadowing future powertrains with a turbocharged 3.3-liter direct injection V6. Power from the new engine is an impressive 370 hp, up roughly 20 hp from the current 3.8-liter V6. No torque figures have been mention, but expect the turbocharger to deliver well-above the 295 lb-ft in the current car.
Power makes it to the rear wheels using the brand’s 8-speed automatic transmission.

As for the look, it mimics the dramatic style of the HCD-14 Concept shown at the Detroit Auto Show this year, which is said to preview the next-generation of Hyundai’s luxury sedans. While the HCD-14 is more of a design concept, showcasing ideas that could come to fruition, it isn’t yet clear if Hyundai intends the HND-9 to more closely represent the production Genesis Coupe.
Look for more details on the HND-9 concept and the future of the Genesis Coupe when Hyundai officially unveils the car at the 2013 Seoul Motor Show on March 28th. The Korean automaker promises more information not only on the car’s design, but also it’s “cutting-edge technologies.”

why cant Tata or Mahindras cant produce similar cars, im sure we have all the technology, money and infrastructure then where are we lacking in, im sure the brain is put somewhere else ?
