BMW is readying the 2014 M5 and M6 for launch this summer, both of which will feature a new performance package that will boost the hp and 0 to 60 mph times of the two cars.

Rumored to be called the ‘Competition Package,’ it will provide both cars a boost from 560 to 575 hp, delivered by the same twin-turbo 4.4-liter V8. Other enhancements will include unique black wheels, revised suspension, black exhaust tips, and a tighter steering ratio that will come together to shave 0.1 seconds from the 0-60 mph time, which lands around 3.6 seconds.

This package will be available on the entire 6 series range, including the M6 Convertible and M6 Gran Coupe. Pricing is still unknown, but expect a significant increase over the current M5 and M6′s base prices, which start at $92,395 and $110,545, respectively.
