BMW I3 Spied Testing as It Gets Closer to Production


As the BMW i3 gets closer to production form, the German automaker has been spied testing its compact electric car out on the roads.
The i3 is expected to hit dealerships this year and the automaker continues stripping off bits and pieces of camouflage as our spy photographers continue spotting the EV being tested on the roads.

Though details have been sparse since the i3 concept first debuted, it is believed to be powered by an electric motor that provides 170 hp and 184 lb-ft of torque allowing it to reach 60 mph in eight seconds. It is expected to be able to recharge from 0 to 80 percent in about an hour.
