Jaguar XKR-S GT Production Might Be Extended
Jaguar’s XKR-S GT is fast… really fast. But the British brand unveiled its sport coupe in New York with the caveat that there would only be 30 built — or would there?
In fact, brand boss Adrian Hallmark said later that there will be an additional 20 built if demand warrants it.
“It is possible the production run will reach 50,” Hallmark said to AutoCar. “The initial cap was set to define the business case but, thankfully, there is room for more.”

Rather than worrying about making the XKR-S GT more powerful, the brand focused on improving how it drives and handles at high speeds. In fact, the brand expects it to be at least 10 seconds faster than the XKR-S around the Nurburgring.
That lap time is said to be seven minutes and 40 seconds – which is in par with the Lamborghini Murcielago LP640 and a hair slower than the Lexus LFA.
