This year’s Indianapolis 500 will not only have a special guest pace car, but also a special pace car driver in the form of Super-Bowl runner-up San Francisco 49ers head coach, Jim Harbaugh.

Harbaugh will lead the way in a new 2014 Chevy Corvette Stingray, marking the 12th time that a Corvette has been used in this position. “As a longtime racing fan and someone who has always followed the Indianapolis 500, the honor to drive the pace car comes as a tremendous thrill,” said Jim Harbaugh.

Jim Harbaugh is not a stranger to Indianapolis, having played quarterback for the Indianapolis Colts NFL team from 1994 to 1997.

The new Corvette hits dealers this fall with a starting MSRP of $51,995.
