No Mercedes E-Class Coupe AMG a Mistake: Product Manager
With almost every Mercedes model getting an AMG variant, E-Class coupe enthusiasts have to be scratching their heads and wondering, “Where’s the E63 AMG?”
The 2014 E-Class coupe, which looks stylish and sporty as ever, is noticeably missing a flagship performance model, a decision that even the brand regrets. Set to go on sale this June, the absence seems strange, especially given that product manager Gerd Junginger saying that “it’s the perfect car to be an AMG.”

Unfortunately it’s too late in the model cycle for the German automaker to change its mind and add an AMG variant, but Junginger promised that next time AMG and Mercedes wouldn’t make the same mistake.
Sounds like the next-generation E-Class coupe is guaranteed an AMG model which will be welcoming, considering the E400 only has 333 hp from its twin-turbo V6.

Right now my only question is whether the CLA 45 AMG is going to come with the Premium Package as standard. It should afterall.
