The new Porsche 911 GT3 isn’t just another generation in the German automaker’s GT3 lineup; it’s packed with next-generation technology that makes it a true track monster.

To show off some of the technical highlights on the new GT3, Porsche has released a video of the sports car where it belongs – on the track. For the first time in the automaker’s storied history, Porsche is using active rear-wheel steering to achieve even higher precision and lateral dynamics.

Depending on the speed of the GT3, the vehicle will steer in the same or opposite direction of the front wheels to help improve stability and agility. Watch the video below to see some of the technical highlights of the new 911 GT3.

The 2014 Porsche GT3 is powered by a 3.8-liter flat-six with 475 hp and 324 lb-ft of torque mated to a PDK dual-clutch, seven-speed automatic transmission. It accelerates to 62 mph in 2.5 seconds and has a top speed of 195 mph.
