2014 Shelby GT500 Golf Cart is the Perfect Complement to Your Actual GT500
Own a Ford Shelby GT500 and love to golf? Caddyshack has the perfect complement to your sports car with its new 2014 Shelby GT500 Golf Cart.
Ford revealed the golf car on its Facebook page, packing 3.1 hp with a top speed of 19 mph. It’s not quite what the Shelby GT500 sports car packs, which is 662 hp and has a top speed of 155 mph. But then again, that car is powered by a 5.8-liter, supercharged V8 engine and the golf cart simply runs on a 48-volt DC electric motor and uses a standard wall plug to charge rather than high-octane gas. Nonetheless, both vehicles share the same golf bag capacity – two.
The golf cart is available for $15,490, not including a $495 shipping charge. It sports officially licensed GT500 badging, custom formed and hand-laid fiberglass body, PPG paint colors and matching stripes, UltraSuede/Vinyl upholstered seating, custom 12-inch wheels, and a locking front trunk for additional storage. All the lighting on the golf cart is fully functional and the cart even has double-ended rack and pinion steering, independent front suspension, and a limited slip differential.
