Leading up to the 2013 Pikes Peak Hill Climb, Hyundai released plenty of information on its record-setting Genesis Coupe but kept its more extreme PM580T race car under wraps.

Now we have our first look of the extreme race car as testing and practice sessions kick off for the event. Rhys Millen will be piloting the Genesis PM580T while Paul Dallenbach will be behind the wheel of the record holder Genesis Coupe that Millen drove last year. The PM580T is a Pikes Peak-specific prototype powered by the Korean automaker’s Lambda V6 engine. It is based heavily on the previous PM580 prototype.
