Mazda World Record Ready to Be Broken Already

Last week, 683 Mazda Miatas set the benchmark for the largest parade of Mazda Cars. While that group in Lelystad, Netherlands may have earned themselves a Guinness World Record, a group of Mazda3 Owners in Ontario, Canada already thinks they can out do the newly set record.

The group at Torontomazda3 also have a less ego-driven agenda, aiming to earn $20,000 for Hearth Place, a cancer support center in the Greater Toronto Area. There is also another incentive to participate, even if the world record isn’t broken that day: Mazda will raffle off a 3-year lease to the upcoming 2014 Mazda3.

The photo above was taken at the gathering last year. This years event will take place on Sunday September 22nd, 2013 at the Oshawa Municipal Airport. Organizers are hoping to get 800 Mazda3 owners to participate.

Helping to reach the goal of $20,000, each participant is asked to donate at least $20, while Mazda Canada will donate $5,000 from their own pockets to help the group hit the impressive target.

Those looking to participate are advised to pre-register before the event, and registration closes on September 1st. For those looking to attend and be a part of a Guinness World Record, now’s your chance.
