Nissan has unveiled its Almera Nismo Performance Package Concept at the 2013 Super GT International Series in Malaysia.

The Almera is sold in America as the Versa, and gives us a preview of what we can expect if Nissan decides to offer a Nismo variant of the Versa here on our shores. According to Nissan, its Nismo Performance Package Concept for the Versa features an “aerodynamic design” and “enhanced handling characteristics with superior agility.”

The exterior of the Almera Nismo concept features add-on spoilers for the front and rear bumpers, new side skirts, and a rear trunk spoiler. New 17-inch wheels paired with 205/45/17 tires are mounted on all four corners while a sports suspension and Nismo exhaust round off the modifications. Unfortunately, performance remains unchanged under the hood.

“The Nissan Almera Nismo Performance Package Concept is being unveiled for the first time in the world, together with Edaran Tan Chong Motor, our long-term partner here in Malaysia,” said Shoichi Miyatani, President of Nismo. “We are glad to have our Nismo brand in Nissan’s mainstream models as it offers something special in terms of advanced motorsports technology, dynamic performance capabilities, and distinctively sporty design that is embodied in Nismo, Nissan’s motorsports, performance and personalization brand.”
