Porsche 918 Spyder Testing in Extreme Heat – Video
Porsche is busy testing out its latest supercar, the 918 Spyder, and the brand has just released a video showing the car testing in some extreme heat conditions.
The 918 has been tested around the world in all sorts of conditions, and all of those prototypes are about to reach 1 million miles tested cumulatively. In this video, we see the 918 in the appropriately named Valley of Fire outside of Las Vegas, Nevada, where the temperatures regularly crest 100°F in the summer.

The 918 Spyder will launch this September with a V8-hybrid powertrain that makes 875 hp, propelling it to 62 mph in just 3.2 seconds. A monocoque carbon fiber shell serves as the entire load-bearing structure, and is one of the major influences in the car’s 1,640 kg (3615 lbs) unladen weight.
