2014 Mazda3 Sedan Rear End Leaked

The first photo of the 2014 Mazda3 sedan has been leaked, revealing the four-door’s rear end.

One of the few remaining questions — how the sedan’s trunk will look — has been answered, provided this is an authentic image. Complementing the rear end is a subtle trunk spoiler, but as expected, the rear end of the Mazda3 is heavily influenced by the larger Mazda6’s design.

The 2014 Mazda3 sedan is expected to make its official debut in the coming months, and everything from engine offerings to interior choices from the Mazda3 hatch is expected to make its way onto the sedan. In North America, the 2014 Mazda3 hatchback has been announced to feature a base powerplant of a 2.0-liter SkyActiv-G four-cylinder with 155 hp and 150 lb-ft of torque. A larger 2.5-liter SkyActiv will be available with 184 hp and 185 lb-ft of torque. Other markets are treated to a smaller 1.5-liter and a 2.2-liter SkyActiv diesel engine. Japan buyers will also get a choice of a hybrid variant.
