The Acura NSX Prototype will make its first “dynamic” debut next weekend, but if don’t like to wait (haven’t we been waiting long enough?), watch this!

The brief (very brief) video gives a quick glimpse at the lines of the second-generation Acura sports car. Better yet, it gives the first idea of what it will sound like.

Making use of a V6 hybrid powertrain, it certainly sounds aggressive and should help build anticipation that the new NSX is a return to the old Acura.

Acura will showcase the new NSX next weekend (August 4th) ahead of the Honda Indy 200 race at Mid-Ohio. The car will hit the track just prior to the race at 3 p.m. EDT, which will be broadcast live by NBC Sports Network… where you can likely get another taste of it in action.

Set to launch in 2015, the NSX is being engineered at Honda R&D Americas, Inc. in Raymond, Ohio and manufactured at the brand’s new Performance Manufacturing Center in nearby Marysville, Ohio.
