Kia is expected to enter the electric vehicle market in North America with an electric version of the Soul crossover, and AutoGuide‘s spy photographers have caught a prototype testing in Europe.

Earlier reports say the Kia Soul EV will be sold in Europe, China, and the U.S. and will have a battery good for about 124 miles on a single charge. Top speed of the Soul EV will be limited to 87 mph while the sprint to 62 mph will take around 12 seconds.

Kia declined to confirm that the Soul EV will be heading to the U.S., but it is expected to go on sale during the first half of 2014. Given how it looks in the spy photos, it looks like the Soul EV is close to being production-ready.
