Next-Gen BMW 5 Series Wagon Spotted

BMW has just given its 5 Series an update for the 2014 model year, and the German automaker is already hard at work on its next-generation model.

Though details are extremely sparse on the next-generation 5er, AutoGuide‘s spy photographers caught a prototype on a trailer that’s getting ready to be tested in wagon form.

The next iteration of the 5 Series luxury sedan is expected to shed a lot of weight and get outfitted with the latest generation of high-tech driver assistance systems. As with all early stage spy photos, the 5 Series wagon is heavily camouflaged, but it’s clear that BMW will be introducing its next-generation 5 Series in a couple of years.
