Hyundai’s seventh-generation Sonata mid-size sedan is expected to go on sale late next year and spy photos of the car are revealing new details.

The new Sonata is expected to bring in Hyundai’s latest “Fluidic Precision” design. Most of the car is covered in these photos, but key additions are visible in the front and rear. LED head and tail lights are visible and it looks like the grille might have a more upright structure.

These photos were taken near the Nurburgring in Germany, which could reinforce past reports that the car has been overhauled to offer improved handling and ride quality.

With the auto show season just gearing up, you can probably expect to see more from Hyundai about the next evolution in its popular mid-size sedan soon.

Are you dumb? The Mistra has a more rectangular grille. The newer Sonata has a more angular and pronounced hexagonal grille.
