The Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance, most well known as a gathering of extravagant exotics from Europe ranging from Lamborghinis to Bugattis, will have a Korean automaker on its Concept Lawn this year.

Hyundai will display its HCD-14 Genesis Concept at the upcoming 2013 Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance on the prestigious Concept Lawn, joining a handful of futuristic concepts from European automakers such as BMW, Lamborghini, Bentley, Aston Martin, and Mercedes-Benz. Though this is Hyundai’s fifth year at the luxury event in Pebble Beach, this will be the first time the Korean automaker has been accepted to the Concept Lawn. It will also be bringing its Genesis and Equus to display on Peter Hay Hill.

Limited to about 20 vehicles each year, showcasing a concept on the Pebble Beach Concept Lawn is a coveted privilege among automakers. The HCD-14 Genesis Concept originally debuted earlier this year at the 2013 Detroit Auto Show, previewing the future styling direction for Hyundai. Hyundai CEO John Krafcik refers to it as a “spiritual guide” to Hyundai’s future, premium sedans.
