Most Researched Cars of the Week: August 4 - 10
Entertaining rear-wheel dive vehicles were the most popularly searched in AutoGuide’s new cars section this week.
Among them, the Jaguar F-Types, Lexus IS sport sedans and the Chevrolet Camaro SS were the most commonly queried. Jaguar re-launched its venture into the two-seat sports car market this year with the F-Type, which is sold with two V6 versions as well as a V8.
The 2013 model year is the last that Chevrolet will offer the Camaro muscle car in its current body style. For 2014, General Motors will begin selling it with refreshed styling first seen during the New York Auto Show in late March.
Lexus also debuted a new version of its IS sport sedans this year, although they retained the same engines as the previous generation. Most notably, the rear-wheel drive IS 350 F-Sport model gains the same eight-speed automatic transmission found in the V8 IS-F.
But sports cars weren’t the only popular items this week. The GMC Acadia crossover and Mazda6 sedan also made appearances. GMC updated the Acadia with fresh styling for the 2013 model year, and Mazda launched an all-new generation of the Mazda6 mid-size sedan for the 2014 model year on its new SkyActiv platform.
