2014 Chevy Silverado, GMC Sierra Deliver Most Power in Class
With 420 horsepower and 460 lb-ft of torque, the 2014 Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra offer the most power of any pickup in the light-duty pickup truck segment.
Powered by a 6.2-liter, V8 engine, both the Silverado and Sierra also delivers best towing capacity in their class with a maximum trailering capacity of 12,000 pounds when properly equipped.

Those not looking to boast the most performance from their pickups however can also opt for a 4.3-liter V6 with 285 horsepower and 305 lb-ft of torque or a 5.3-liter V8 with 355 horsepower and 383 lb-ft of torque. The V6-equipped model has a max towing capacity of 7,600 pounds while the smaller V8 is good for 11,500 pounds with the max towing package. The 5.3-liter V8 also boasts the best highway fuel economy of any V8 pickup with 23 mpg.

Fuel economy figures for the 6.2-liter V8 engine hasn’t been announced yet. Both vehicles will be available at dealerships this fall.
