A convoy of all-new Mazda 3 hatchbacks has completed its journey from Hiroshima to Frankfurt.

Dubbed the Mazda Route3 – Hiroshima to Frankfurt Challenger Tour 2013, the convoy completed a journey of 9,300 miles and crossed the finish line at Mazda’s European R&D Centre in Oberursel, just outside Frankfurt. Some of those tour vehicles will be at the 2013 Frankfurt Motor Show.

The tour began on August 3 after the vehicles were shipped from Japan to Vladivostok. The convoy then traveled from Russia’s Far East as it covered two continents, five countries, nine time zones and 30 some cities.

The 2014 Mazda3 was revealed earlier this year getting a healthy dose of Mazda’s KODO design language.

The Japanese automaker documented the entire journey on a website called Mazda Route3, where you can view plenty of photos and videos of the trip.
