2015 Audi A3 Cabriolet Officially Revealed
The 2015 Audi A3 cabriolet was just officially revealed after images of the drop-top compact leaked online yesterday.
The compact four-seater completes the newly revamped A3 model lineup featuring an elegant fabric hood and active roll-over protection system. Compared to the previous model, the convertible has grown in length and width with a slightly longer wheelbase. As a result, it boasts larger luggage capacity (2.12 cubic feet more) and its wheel housings can support up to 19-inch rollers.
The fully automatic soft top features a rear glass window and is offered in Black as standard. Available as an option is an automatic acoustic top with a thick inner foam layer to help reduce the already low interior noise level. The acoustic top is available in black, gray, and brown while its roofliner is available in black and “Lunar” silver.

Weighing in at around 3,009 pounds, the 2015 A3 cabriolet is also 110 pounds lighter than its predecessor despite its growth in size and storage. It will be initially offered with a pair of TFSI engines: 1.4-liter with 140 hp and 1.8-liter with 180 hp, or a 2.0-liter TDI with 150 hp. The German automaker promises that more powerplants will be added to the A3 cabriolet’s lineup including the 2.0-liter TFSI that will power the S3 cabriolet giving it 300 horsepower.
