2015 Volkswagen Golf R Gallery Continues to Tease
The 2015 Volkswagen Golf R will make its official public debut at the 2013 Frankfurt Motor Show, and to whet your appetite for the hot hatch, the German automaker has released a new set of photos and a video of the Golf R.
The seventh-generation Golf R will feature a 2.0-liter, turbocharged four-cylinder engine with 296 horsepower and 280 lb-ft of torque to be offered with a six-speed manual or dual clutch transmission. Compared to the standard Golf, it sits 0.78 inches lower, or 0.2 inches lower than the GTI.
While the vehicle is going to go on sale in Europe later this year as a 2014 model, it won’t be available in the U.S. until 2014 as a 2015 model year. Cross your fingers for more information on the Golf R’s North American release at the 2013 Frankfurt Motor Show. For now, watch the new video and enjoy the gallery below.
