Audi has unveiled its Nanuk Quattro concept, which will be making an appearance at the 2013 Frankfurt Motor Show.

The design concept is essentially a Giugiaro Parcour with Audi styling, resulting in a sports car that could go off-roading. Under the hood of the Audi Nanuk is the German automaker’s 5.0-liter, V10 TDI engine with 544 horsepower and 738 lb-ft of torque, allowing it to accelerate to 62 mph in 3.8 seconds.

The crossover concept weighs in at 4,189 pounds and rolls on massive 22-inch wheels, while carbon fiber-ceramic brakes provide superior braking performance in any condition.

The Nanuk Quattro has been outfitted with adaptive air suspension featuring electronically controlled dampers, allowing the driver to manually adjust the ground clearance of the Nanuk from 1.18 inches lower to 1.57 inches higher.

While the concept is the result of a collaboration with Italdesign Giugiaro and is essentially the Parcour, it certainly looks a whole lot better with Audi styling.

Autoguide will have more details on the Nanuk Quattro concept when it makes its official debut at the 2013 Frankfurt Motor Show.

A Gelaendewagen makes sense for off- roading. This vehicles looks like it's saying ' I want to be an R8, but they won't let me'. With all the elements encountered in off- roading such as deep ruts. rocks, boulders, high water, very possible side damage, etc. the design just doesn't work for me.
