BMW X5 EDrive Concept Video, First Look

Making its global debut at the 2013 Frankfurt Motor Show, the BMW X5 eDrive concept boasts an estimated 74.3 mpg rating on the European test cycle.

So would the X5 eDrive even draw any interest in the market place if it headed to production? That’s what the German automaker is trying to figure out in its home country. The X5 eDrive is powered by a turbocharged, four-cylinder engine mated to a 95-horsepower plug-in hybrid drivetrain for a total system output of 270 horsepower. It has an electric-only range of 19 miles.
