Chevy, GMC Make Up 75 Percent of Full-Size SUVs on the Road

When it comes to full size SUVs, General Motors has the segment locked down.

The American automaker holds 75-percent market share on the full-size SUV segment according to an infographic recently released. So far this year, 180,000 Tahoe, Suburban, Yukon, and Yukon XL vehicles have been sold.

The infographic is well-timed, as GM will debut the all-new 2015 models for all four of these vehicles in New York City today.

Little is known about the upcoming new full-size SUVs from GM, but it is believed that they will be heavily influenced by the 2014 Chevrolet Silverado, as it’ll provide the mechanical basis for the new SUVs.
