Chrysler Town & Country, Dodge Grand Caravan 30th Anniversary Models Announced
In celebration of the 30th anniversary of the Chrysler Town & Country and Dodge Grand Caravan, the American automaker has released special edition models for both of its minivans.
The Chrysler Group invented the modern minivan in 1983 with the Dodge Caravan and Plymouth Voyager. To celebrate the 30th anniversary, the special 2014 Town & Country is based on the Touring-L model and features unique exterior and interior accessories. Exterior features include 17-inch wheels, 30th Anniversary badging, and the availability of Granite Crystal Pearl Coat paint.
On the inside, black Alcantara seat inserts with Nappa seat bolsters complement piano black steering wheel bezels and instrument panel trim. Also found on the 30th anniversary model are third-row power folding seats, power folding mirrors, a 30th Anniversary logo on the gauge cluster and touchscreen radio splash screen. The logo can also be found embroidered on the door armrest, door panels, lower instrument panel and Center Console.
Standard on the model will also be the Driver’s Convenience Group package which includes heated first- and second-row seating, a leather-wrapped heated steering wheel, power adjustable pedals, keyless entry, and bright door handles.
The Chrysler Town & Country is powered by a 3.6-liter, Pentastar V6 engine with 283 horsepower and 260 lb-ft of torque.
