Continuing to show off his unorthodox style of running a company, Tesla CEO Elon Musk put out a call on Twitter for engineers to help the company develop its self-driving technology.

Tesla has committed to having a semi-autonomous vehicle that can handle 90 percent of driving duties within three years, and the company needs new engineers to help them achieve this goal.

“Intense effort underway at Tesla to develop a practical autopilot system for Model S,” tweeted Elon Musk. “Engineers interested in working on autonomous driving, pls email autopilot@teslamotors.com.” He finished by adding that the “team will report directly to me.”

Tesla says that it wants to develop all of its self-driving tech in house without the collaboration of outside companies. Other outfits such as Daimler, Nissan and Google have also committed to developing self-driving cars.
