Toyota Constructs Millionth Truck in Texas
Toyota’s Texas truck plant located on the south side of San Antonio has hit a milestone, manufacturing its one millionth vehicle.
The plant currently builds both the Toyota Tundra and Tacoma, producing the Toyota Tundra half-ton pickup since October of 2006 while Tacoma production was added in 2010. The plant employs 2,800 people while 21 on-site suppliers employ an additional 2,900 workers.
