The latest in a series of heavily modified Hyundai products bound for this year’s SEMA Show was announced today.

Based on the Genesis Coupe Hyundai and ARK Performance just announced the new “Legato Concept.” The car is meant to take Hyundai’s current Genesis Coupe and expand on it to “concept car levels.” ARK went about that goal by adding a wide-body kit, new front and rear bumpers, side skirts and a different decklid.

There’s much more here than a list of superficial body modifications, too. The stock 3.8-liter V6 is stroked out to four liters with much of the internal components having been replaced as well. Other under-hood performance modifications include the intake, exhaust, oil cooler, crank shaft, connecting rods and much more. The result is a higher-performing engine designed to be durable with 400 hp and 425 lb-ft of torque.

A coil-over suspension improves handling and the stock wheels have also been replaced with lightweight Rays units. Carbon brake pads give the car more stopping power while also reducing brake fade while Nitto NT05 tires serve to improve grip during performance driving.

Look for live photos and video coverage of the car in early November when AutoGuide will be reporting live from the SEMA Show floor.
