Lexus RC F GT500 Race Car Sounds Vicious – Video

Originally known as the LF-CC GT500 race car, Lexus will be branding its Super GT competitor as the RC F and we have our first video of it testing on the track.

The Lexus RC model will essentially be an IS coupe, and the RC model will be competing with the likes of the BMW 4 Series. As for the race car, it will be competing in the Super GT Series GT500 class next season and will be replacing the Japanese automaker’s current Lexus SC 430 race car.

The production Lexus RC F is expected to make its public debut at the 2013 Tokyo Motor Show sporting a 5.0-liter V8 engine with 455 hp. Rumor has it that the RC F could cost upwards of $100,000.

    I am an IS-F owner and paid around $70,000 for the car. The car is amazing. Given the $100,000 for the RC-F, I need to consider a lot of other cars. Is the additional 35 HP enough to justify the additional $39,000?
