2014 Porsche Macan Turbo Specs Leaked: 400 HP

Next week, Porsche will officially unveil its Macan crossover despite the fact that much of the information about its newest product is already out in the open.

Now a leaked spec sheet is giving a preview of the engine lineup and associated output for versions to be sold in that market. Chances
are good that you can expect the same numbers in North America. According to the sheet, at least three engines will be offered: A 3.0-liter V6 gasoline engine with 340 hp and 339 lb-ft of torque in the Macan S, a 3.0-liter turbo diesel V6 with 258 hp and 427 lb-ft in the Macan S Diesel. Finally, the Macan Turbo will use a 3.6-liter V6 with 400 hp and 405 lb-ft of torque.

Each of the three crossovers will reach 62 mph (100 km/h) in 5.5, 6.2 and 4.8 seconds respectively. The sheet also suggests that the top speeds will be limited and varied between models with 158 for the gasoline Macan S, 140 for the diesel version or 167 for the Macan Turbo.

The wheelbase is the same as the platform-sharing Audi Q5 and the sheet reveals that the diesel model will actually be the lightest with a 4,184-lb curb weight.
