BMW 5 Series Sedan, Wagon Spied Getting Ready for Testing
BMW is hard at work on the next-generation 5 Series, and the sedan and wagon model are getting ready to be put to the test.
AutoGuide‘s spy photographers recently caught the 5 Series Wagon sitting neatly on a trailer, but this time around, they’ve caught photos of the next-generation 5 Series Wagon out and about on roadways.

In addition, we’ve got photos of the 5 Series Sedan prototype sitting on a flatbed truck, likely heading to a destination for testing. The prototypes are still heavily camouflaged, but that’s expected considering both models won’t be arriving at dealerships until 2016. This year, the German automaker gave its 5 Series a modest facelift, so don’t expect the next-generation model to debut soon.
Also expect BMW to borrow some of its technology from the i sub-brand, with hybrids and plug-in variants joining the 5 Series lineup.
