Chevrolet Volt Sales Hit 50,000 Unit Milestone

General Motors has sold its 50,000th Chevrolet Volt vehicle, hitting the milestone last month.

No formal or official announcement was made by the American automaker, but the Volt has sold 50,240 units in its young history. Undoubtedly, the Volt saw a boost in its sales this year thanks to a generous price cut of $5,000.

2013 Chevrolet Volt Review

The Chevrolet Volt originally hit the market in December 2010 and saw 326 units out the door that month. The following year, Chevy managed to move 7,671 units while 2012 saw 23,461 units sold. Year-to-date 2013, Chevrolet has moved 18,782 units.

    Excellent! Now GM and Chairman Zero are only 950,000 cars short of their mark or putting 1,000,000 of those Dolts on the road by 2015! Way to go Progressives!
