not so mini clubman spied with regular rear doors

Now that the next-generation MINI Cooper has been officially revealed, AutoGuide‘s spy photographers have caught the British automaker working on the new Clubman model.

Similar to the new Cooper, the next-generation Clubman will also grow in size which means it will now sport typical rear doors on both sides of the vehicle. The new Clubman however, will retain its pair of doors that access the trunk.

Also expect that the Clubman will benefit from the Cooper’s new set of engines which include a three-cylinder powerplant with 134 hp and 162 lb-ft of torque along with a four-cylinder from the Cooper S with 189 hp and 207 lb-ft of torque.

Expect the new MINI Clubman to make a debut sometime later next year.
