Toyota has pledged $500,000 in donations to support relief efforts in the Phillipines.

Residents of the Phillipines have barely begun the recovery process from the devastating typhoon that hit their shores, but relief aid has been pouring in from all around the world. Toyota will donate $250,000 to the American Red Cross to support relief efforts along with a previous donation of 10-million Phillipines pesos.

“On behalf of Toyota, we express our sincere condolences to the families affected by Typhoon Haiyan in the Philippines and surrounding areas,” said Jim Lentz, CEO of Toyota North America. “Thanks to the generosity of our associates and team members, Toyota’s giving will go even further to help families in need.”
