2014 Kia Sedona Scores Five-Star Crash Rating
Kia’s 2014 Sedona minivan is one of the latest vehicles to earn a five-star crash safety rating.
The South Korean family hauler earned a five-star rating in both front- and side-impact crash tests, which is enough to give the van an overall five-star rating. The U.S. government safety regulator composes its rating with three tests: side impact, front impact and a rollover test.

By earning a five-star rating, the 2014 Sedona joins Toyota’s Sienna as the only other 2014 model year minivan to earn the top mark so far. The Chrysler Town & Country and Dodge Grand Caravan siblings scored a four-star rating after being dinged in both front impact and rollover ratings; the same as the previous model year.
Honda’s 2014 Odyssey has only undergone the rollover test where it scored four starts to stay on par with other industry safety leaders within the segment.
