2015 Volkswagen Golf R Video, First Look
With almost 300-hp the Volkswagen Golf R is features a ton of power in a practical package.
All 290 horsepower hit the ground via the cars all wheel drive system, helping the hatchback hit 60 mph in under five seconds. North American buyers will get the choice either a six-speed manual or six-speed dual clutch transmission, but the car will only be available to US buyers in the five-door body style.
The interior is spiced up as well, with the Golf R sporting Nappa leather trimmed sport seats, a three-spoke steering wheel, carbon fiber dash inlays and a unique gauge cluster.

The Golf R features four drive modes: comfort, normal, individual and race, each mode changes the engine responsiveness, shift points and damping.
