Lamborghini finished off 2013 with 2,121 units sold, the third year in a row that the Italian automaker has increased its worldwide sales figure.

In addition, the automaker set an all-time high in V12 sales with the Lamborghini Aventador moving 1,001 units last year. Lamborghini now has 129 dealerships in 46 countries, which helped its sales figure rise from 2,083 units in 2012 to 2,121 last year. The U.S. remains the Italian automaker’s largest market, followed by China.

The Gallardo, Lamborghini’s most-built model ever, saw 1,120 units sold last year despite being in its last year of production. The Gallardo will be replaced by the recently revealed Huracan.

“In the year of our 50th anniversary, Lamborghini has delivered a very satisfying performance, confirming the strength of our product and commercial strategy,” said Stephan Winkelmann, President and CEO of Automobili Lamborghini S.p.A. “Even in its last year of production the Lamborghini Gallardo has shown strong sales, whereas the Aventador has beaten all records of V12 model sales in our history. The USA and China are our biggest single markets, the Middle East and Japan are very strong and Europe is in line with the trend in our market segment.”
