Honda Civic WTCC Race is Wide and Wingy
Honda has released the first official photos of its 2014 Civic WTCC race car and although it’s covered with plenty of camouflage, the Civic is looking nice and mean.
The Japanese automaker will compete with a pair of works cars this year, driven by Gabriele Tarquini and Tiago Monteiro and will race under the banner of “Castrol Honda World Touring Car Team.” While the official Honda cars will be ran by J.A.S. Motorsport, private teams Zengo Motorsport and Proteam Racing will also be fielding Civics of their own in competition.

The two photos shared by Honda were taken earlier this year during the team’s first test session in Aragon, Northern Spain.
“We achieved four victories and captured the manufacturer’s title last season in the FIA World Touring Car Championship, the WTCC, which was our first year of full-participation,” said Honda CEO Takanobu Ito. “In this season, we will strive to win the double title for driver’s and manufacturer’s with a total of four machines including a works team and two private teams.”
