There’s a lot to like about the new Hyundai Genesis sedan, but did you know British automaker Lotus helped tune its chassis and suspension?

Looking to blend performance and luxury in a nicely packaged sedan, Hyundai turned to the experts at Lotus and the world famous Nurburgring to “strike the ideal balance of control, confidence and comfort,” for its all-new Genesis. Also evaluated on the Nurburgring is the Korean automaker’s HTRAC all-wheel drive, which is available on the 3.8-liter model only.

According to Hyundai, HTRAC actively optimizes torque flow to achieve maximum traction, regardless of the road condition. In the vehicle’s sport mode, HTRAC can transfer as much as 90 percent of the torque to the rear wheels for a more fun-to-drive experience on dry roads.
