2014 Mazda6 Earns NHTSA Five-Star Overall Safety Rating

The 2014 Mazda 6 has received a five-star overall safety rating from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.

The sedan received four stars in the frontal crash test, five stars in the side crash test and four stars in the rollover crash test. It has also been named a 2014 Top Safety Pick+ by the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS).

The 2014 Mazda6 received a rating of good in all IIHS crash tests rating but received an acceptable rating in the small overlap front crash test. Standard safety equipment on the Mazda6 includes anti-lock brakes and stability control, while a lane-departure warning system is available as an option.
