Aston Martin Vantage GT to Debut in NY With $99K Price
The 2014 New York Auto Show starts tomorrow, and Aston Martin has dropped the veil on its plans one day early.
The English brand is bringing two new cars to the show this year, the DB9 Carbon Edition and the Vantage GT.
The more important of the two cars is surely the Vantage GT, but not because of its power or handling. This car will carry a base price of $99,900, making it the most affordable Aston on the market today. Power comes from a front-mid mounted 4.7-liter V8 that makes 430 hp, making the car good for a 4.6 second 0 to 60 mph sprint. A six-speed manual is fitted as standard equipment, though a seven-speed automated manual is available.

Aston Martin says that the Vantage GT was honed on the race track, and the brand is offering the car in a number of race liveries to celebrate its heritage. The looks of the car can further be customized with graphics, mirror caps and a rear diffuser blade. The car can be had as a coupe or a roadster, and will be available in North America in third quarter of 2014.
Aston’s other New York Debut, the DB9 Carbon Edition, replaces many of the car’s body panels with carbon fiber to save weight and to give the car a stunning look. Everything from the front splitter to the mirror caps are made of the rigid material, and even the interior sports carbon fiber accents. The car still uses a V12 that makes 457 lb-ft of torque and 510 hp. Pricing for the DB9 Carbon Edition starts at $199,995.
