Hyundai might be saying that its ix25 is exclusive to the Chinese market, but it could be a preview of a compact crossover that will be launching in the U.S. in 2016.

Seen in concept form at the 2014 Beijing Motor Show, the Hyundai ix25 will launch in China next year and features a design based on the brand’s Fluidic Sculpture 2.0 design philosophy. Under the hood is Hyundai’s Nu 2.0-liter engine and measures in at 14-feet long, 5.8-inches wide and 5.3-inches tall. The ix25 will be built to mainly target the younger generation of buyers that seek style and practicality at the same time.
