Following BMW’s lead of offering coupe-styled SUVs, Mercedes-Benz will preview a similar move with a concept car at the Beijing Auto Show later this month.

The teaser above is called the Mercedes-Benz Concept Coupe and is thoguht to preview a swoopy version of the ML-Class SUV. Rumor has it that Mercedes plans to call its new upmarket crossover the MLC.

Mercedes has a habit of showing near-production concepts, so the real thing will almost certainly look very much like this one. For example, the S-Class Coupe concept and production model look almost identical from the outside.
