Most Researched Cars of the Week: April 13 – 19

The most researched vehicles in AutoGuide.com’s new cars section this week represent several parts of the auto industry.

High on the list, Dodge’s Challenger was actually the most popular. That’s probably true because the company announced an unusual one-year leasing program that will carry over into a 2015 model with the same payment and no additional money down.

Right behind it, Honda’s Fit sub-compact was also popular this week. Despite its small size, the Fit can carry an awful lot of cargo because of its practically-designed second row of seats. They can fold two different ways, creating an especially versatile storage area.

Toyota’s biggest volume seller, the Camry, also went on a tear this week. It probably has something to do with the fact that in New York, the brand revealed its refreshed 2015 model that comes with fresh styling.

Mitsubishi’s Outlander crossover also made the list this week. It’s one of the few crossovers in its size category that offer a V6 engine. It isn’t particularly fuel efficient, but it’s comfortable. The styling is polarizing, but that means anyone who owns one probably loves it.

Finally, the Hyundai Sonata numbered among this week’s top five. Just like the Camry, it comes with a different look for 2015. Unlike Toyota’s take on mid-size sedans, Hyundai has an all-new product for the upcoming model year. It follows closely behind the Genesis sedan in terms of styling and adds a new sport trim for the upcoming generation.
